The Beauty of Bedrooms

Bedrooms are fantastical places cos they can reveal a lot about its inhabitant(s). It could be their private precious kingdom or simply a place where they sleep. I was in Olamide's room for the first time and really liked it. Now I want to take pictures of different young people's bedrooms. I saw a photography project one time on Tumblr that included children's bedrooms from varying countries and cultures worlwide. It was so fascinating and thought-provoking, as I think photography should be. Well art in general really.

The album covers on the wall are printed on paper. Such a cool idea. Then there's the jackets hanging on the back of the door. It looks so delicious in this picture rah.

I like how the top section of the curtains was like bleached by light and the bedsheets were all crease up in an opposite direction to the printed stripes.

The four pops of red in this picture make me so happy cos they look so good yet it wasn't deliberate.
Life just looked like that at that moment in Olamide's bedroom.

Posters and pictures and plans for the (odd) future

I got on my tiptoes for this haha

Esmeralda

This post is of my Yung Lolita Alda. These first two snaps feature Olamide's feet.

I really like them because the subjects are facing opposite directions, but not like directly from a straight angle. Also on the right there seems to be a sense of motion from Olamide's feet and Alda's hair and hand. Much fascination.

These are some of the first pictures I took on that day in the park. Alda's toes look so timid, not even touching the ground fully. And the way she's holding the fake flower on the right, bless.
Her posture and body language are very important in these photos.

It's mad how different the pictures look with either the tree or Alda's head in focus. I prefer the picture on the left. I think cos Alda's earrings are more clearly piff, and it kinda looks like the tree is growing out of her head.

So you've got the fragile wisps of Alda's hair and the upside down rose held in her fingertips, then her thicker arm and thigh with the freckle. It's a satisfying balance. On the right the rose has such a good curve and shape. I love the gold bracelet and how the white Nike tick is peeping. Its colour makes the picture pop a lickle.

The silver zip and gold bracelet in the left picture go so cool together. I like the angle for her hands. The blur of the rose makes me wanna reach out and pluck it from the picture on the right.

The sideview of Alda's face is very lovely to look at. And come see GLORY on the right !! Bloody angel she is.

The delicacy in the left picture just gets to me. Just loook at the position of Alda's hands. Pls. Then the fold in her skirt follows that shape omds. I also really like the bright patch of grass on the right behind the shadier Alda.

HAPPINESS AND CUTENESS. The picture on the left is actually screaming at me. Even on the right. Alda was watching a video I had just filmed on Olamide's camcorder and she still held onto the rose.

Forever gonna be curious as to how many bundles of weave Alda's hair could create. Got that good good glow and flow. I'd use the picture on the right as a promo shot. It's very fly.

Traffic on the Tower

When I got on the bus nobody was on it but me. It felt like a strange underground place with the lilac lights and off-white walls, where weird things happen. I got comfy for a few stops then a couple guys got on, such as the don above in the Nike hat with the wavey silver tick. I really like the softness of these two.

The bus wasn't a double decker and I normally sit upstairs, so I was in this sort of in between level of the top of the bus and the back of a car. I've been across Tower Bridge countless times but never in that position, so obviously man had to get a couple pictures from that angle. I really don't think these pictures are special but they're cool to me cos I've never looked at the bridge like that. They made me notice the colours and the construction more.

The bus passed these cool buildings that I could barely see but I'm curious as to what's there. I wanna go back and check it out. Being on buses, where I can get off every few minutes or less, gives me this exploratory feeling. Especially cos it's not hard to find such a place again as the bus route doesn't change.

I find these pictures so cool. The one on the left especially, cos the brick lines are all faded and it looks like the bus handles are part of that bit of the tunnel I was in. The light is in a cool position too and it makes the colours look more interesting. The angle in the right picture makes me tilt my head and follow the arch of it. Mad.
